Before creating your interactive campaign, it's best to set up your sequence so that you can have a clearer idea of the stories to create.

Stories Journey Designer is the tool that allows you to create sequences of video ads based on 1st and 3rd-party data.

There are two ways to set up a sequence for your hyper-personalized campaigns: 

  1. Leverage a pre-trained ML model optimized toward creative performance

  2. Manual set-up with a traditional 'rules-based' model

  1. To access the Journey Designer, select your campaign in the Image Modified section and go to your Stories. 

  2. When viewing your campaign stories, select the

  2. Firstly, give a "Name" to your new sequence.

  3. Then you can start to select and move all the blocks you need. Remember that every sequence always begins with a Image Modified that represents the beginning of the consumer journey and the User's Data.

  4. Don't forget to Save your new Consumer Journey Design.

Through its intuitive and visually striking interface, you can easily set up stages (orange boxes) and conditions (blue and light blue boxes) through a select and drag motion. 

THREE MAIN BLOCKS FOR A SEQUENCE

When setting up a sequence, you can find three types of boxes:

  1. Blue - If

  2. Pink - Switch

  3. Orange - Stage

For a sequence to properly save, you need to make sure all blocks are properly connected to one another!

This option allows you to set conditions and sub-conditions to further break down your sequence. 
The Journey Designer includes 1st party conditions and even 3rd party conditions that can be easily selected through a dynamic drop-down list.

See below how to insert an "If then else" box:

  1. To insert an "If" option just click the block on the left top corner into your main framework;Image Modified

  2. Name the block;Image Modified

  3. Define the conditions: you can set up a block to have a true output if "All" or "Any" of the conditions are met;

  4. Each "If" option has one input and two outputs: to create a link you need to drag and drop the dot from one to another one;

  5. The two outputs need to be connected to a respective block each representing an answer to the condition. They are:

    1. Image Modified True (green-labeled) 

    2. Image Modified False (red-labeled).  

  6. Don't forget to Save your new Consumer Journey Design. If this is your first block, connect the

The image above gives a sample of how to set up a condition. In this case, "Video View" is chosen: it will be true if more than 25% of the whole video duration has been seen by the user. Later on, you can select the exact Story you wish this to lead to.

This option is similar to the "If " option but only with multiple outputs. 

  1. To insert a "Switch" option just click the block on the left top corner into your main framework;Image Modified

  2. Name the block;

  3. Each "Switch" block has one input and multiple outputs: to link blocks you need to drag and drop the white dot from a block to another;

  4. The outputs need to be connected to a respective block each representing an answer to the condition. If this is your first block, connect the Image Modified block to it.

  5. Don't forget to Save your new Consumer Journey Design.

In every switch box you can add as many outputs you need, and you'll always have one more output The default one which will need to be linked to the respective default stage.

This option represents each single story of your sequence. It is key to remember that in a sequence you can add as many stages as the number of stories you have to create.

  1. To insert a "Stage" option just select and drag the block on the left top corner into your main framework. Image Modified

  2. Name the block according to the respective stage of the consumer journey in that specific sequence or in a way that you will be able to recognize it from the others. Image Modified

  3. Each "Stage" option has only one input: to link others to their condition, you need to drag and drop the dots from one to another;

  4. Don't forget to Save your new Consumer Journey Design.

After creating your Consumer Journey Design, you can always go back and adjust its parts according to your finished stories.

Sequence execution should follow the consumer journey in 4 main stages: Awareness, Engagement, Consideration, and Conversion.

It is key to appreciate how the consumer journey is a non-linear path. Every user goes from A to Z in a different way and does not necessarily go through every intermediate stage.

 The beauty of the Journey Designer is that users don't get stuck in stages they don't belong. Journey Designer takes into consideration every consumer's unique behaviors.


LINK EACH STAGE TO ITS STORY

After planning your Journey Design and creating your Stories (see here how to create one), all that is left to do is to link each Stage (orange box) to the respective story in your campaign.

We will explain step by step how to do this:

  1. Enter your Campain and view your finished Stories

  2. Click on the Journey Designer Tab to continue editing your journey design

  3. Select your "Stage" boxes and select the appropriate Story you'd like to connect with this Node

  4. Don't forget to Save your Consumer Journey Design. 

  5. Repeat for your other campaigns.
