MANUALLY SETTING UP A SEQUENCE

  1. To access the Journey Designer, select your campaign in the  section and go to your Stories. 

  2. When viewing your campaign stories, select the 

     tab. 

  3. To start editing your Journey Design, click 

     icon. 

  4. Firstly, give a "Name" to your new sequence.

  5. Then you can start to select and move all the blocks you need. Remember that every sequence always begins with a  that represents the beginning of the consumer journey and the User's Data.

  6. Don't forget to Save your new Consumer Journey Design.

TIP

Through its intuitive and visually striking interface, you can easily set up stages (orange boxes) and conditions (blue and light blue boxes) through a select and drag motion. 

THREE MAIN BLOCKS FOR A SEQUENCE

When setting up a sequence, you can find three types of boxes:

  1. Blue - If

  2. Pink - Switch

  3. Orange - Stage

For a sequence to properly save, you need to make sure all blocks are properly connected to one another!

This option allows you to set conditions and sub-conditions to further break down your sequence. 
The Journey Designer includes 1st party conditions and even 3rd party conditions that can be easily selected through a dynamic drop-down list.

The image above gives a sample of how to set up a condition. In this case, "Video View" is chosen: it will be true if more than 25% of the whole video duration has been seen by the user. Later on, you can select the exact Story you wish this to lead to.

This option represents each single story of your sequence. It is key to remember that in a sequence you can add as many stages as the number of stories you have to create.

Sequence execution should follow the consumer journey in 4 main stages: Awareness, Engagement, Consideration, and Conversion.

TIP

It is key to appreciate how the consumer journey is a non-linear path. Every user goes from A to Z in a different way and does not necessarily go through every intermediate stage. The beauty of the Journey Designer is that users don't get stuck in stages they don't belong. Journey Designer takes into consideration every consumer's unique behaviors.
