In C-S Journey Designer, conditions are what determine the stage of the user within a sequence at any point in time of a campaign and allow the personalization of the message if conditions are fulfilled or not by the user.

HOW DO CONDITIONS WORK

  1. At the start of the campaign, the audience wouldn't have fulfilled any condition yet so the Journey Designer will trigger the story situated at the first stage of the sequence;
  2. Each action the user does with the stories (interactions with widgets, % of video view, etc.) would then be registered by the Journey Designer and checked against the conditions set in the sequence.
  3. According to the conditions fulfilled by individual users, the Journey Designer is able to understand at what stage of the sequence the user is and will serve them the most appropriate story in the next impressions.

Each If or Switch box must contain a set of conditions.

Following is a list of all the Journey Designer's conditions offered by Connected-Stories.

User Device Conditions:

User Date / Time Conditions:

User Behavior Conditions

Campaign Macros:

USER DEVICE CONDITIONS

  • Country: This condition determines the country from where the user is seeing the ad. It is possible to select every world's country and, depending on the place he or she is in a specific moment, different widgets or videos will be shown.

  • Device: This condition shows to the user different videos or widgets depending on the device the user is using to watch the ad from (desktop, mobile, tablet, TV).

  • Language: This condition allows you to choose among different languages and, based on which language the user speaks, he or she will see a personalized ad with texts or voice overs in his/her language (English, Spanish, Italian, French...).

  • Network: With this condition the user will see a different ad depending on the network he or she is using (4G, 5G, WiFi...).

  • OS Type: This condition will show users a different ad depending on the Operative System they're using (Android, iOS, Linux...).

User Date / Time Conditions

  • Date: This condition determines which ad to show to the user depending on the the single date or multiples dates set.

  • Day of Week: This condition determines which content the user must see each day of a single week or multiples weeks. (I.e. each Monday he or she will see an interactive ad, each Thursday a new one and so on.

  • Time: This condition determines which ad has to be shown to the user depending on the day's time. For instance if it's morning he or she will see a dedicated content and if it's night the user will see a different one.

USER BEHAVIOUR CONDITIONS

  • Widgets (Poll or Quiz): These conditions determines the user's stage based on the answers provided on quizzes or polls.

  • Video View %: This condition determines the user's stage based on what percentage of a video he or she has seen (25%, 50%, 75%...).

  • Random Boolean: This condition shows to the user different stories in a random way. This one is also useful to run A/B tests between stories/widgets at each stage of the journey to see which one has been triggered the most by the user.

  • Custom.Text: This condition determines what stage users are, based on the clicks they've done on one or more widgets. Clicks can be differentiated by adding a Key Value when setting up a widget which will be matched when setting the condition. A True or False needs to be applied as a qualifying statement when creating the block itself for the action.
