Timeline

In C-S Studio everything is built on the basis of a system of editable layers in the timeline in which you can decide the entry or exit of widgets and the order of the layers. All widgets placed in the building area (canvas) will appear on the timeline. In addition, keyframes can be set in the timeline by double-clicking on the layer of a widget, which allows adjustments of widget position and size during creative runtime.

Through the Screenshot 2024-02-16 alle 17.34.28.png Storyboard Conditions, the layering system, within the same story, also allows for the setting of delivery rules to make creativity more dynamic by leveraging a set of conditions to define which layers/widgets to present to different users. Examples of the most commonly used context conditions are the User Device Conditions, which customize the user experience based on the device or platform they are using, or even based on their geographic location context; the User Date/Time Conditions, which plan content delivery based on time variables; and the User Behaviour Conditions, which adapt the user experience based on their actions and interactions.

Smart Variations Tool (on Timeline)

Scenario 1: The Smart Variations Tool is an advanced feature of Connected-Stories that enables you to automatically download all possible content combinations once created, for renderable formats such as Google Ads, Social, or YouTube.

Scenario 2: The Smart Variations Tool also allows you to automatically deliver all content variations for formats distributed via VPAID or Java Tag, such as OLV or Display ads. In this case, the variation management is handled during delivery.

📘 For instance, if you need to create an ad banner with 3 different call-to-actions (CTAs), rather than creating 3 individual stories, you can make a single one and incorporate all the variations you need. This approach will save time and significantly boost production efficiency.

How to Use the Smart variations Tool:

  • Timeline and Grouping:

On the timeline, organize widgets of the same type (e.g., multiple CTAs, images, or copy). Select the relevant widgets and click the folder icon in the upper left (third icon shown in the image) to group them.

-Activate AI:

Once the group is created (e.g., "Group 1"), an "AI" icon will appear. Click this icon to enable the smart variation feature.

This ensures that all variables are properly set, allowing the system to handle all variations within a single story. After completing this step, you can proceed to export the generated versions.

  • Export: Click Ad Export in the upper right corner.

Scenario 1: Once rendering starts and completes, you can choose to export in either PNG or MP4 format. The platform will generate all versions and make them available for download. For specific exports like Google Ads, you can upload the content directly to the chosen channel after configuring the connectors.

Scenario 2: After configuring Decisioning in the Automate section and selecting an ML Model for one of the nodes, the available tag in the Ad Export section will link to the Machine Learning model. This model will then automatically manage the delivery of all content combinations in real-time, optimizing them within the same story.

Properties

The Studio Properties tab allows you to adjust several settings changing the appearance of a widget. The properties tab automatically populates with specific properties depending on the widget being edited and selected.
Customize the style of each widget: Adjust the size, colors, animations, hyperlinks, and more to personalize your audience experience!

GenAI Image Properties

By selecting the image widget, you can activate the generation tab by clicking the “Edit with GenAI” button, which provides access to a range of features for generating or editing an image using generative artificial intelligence.

If you want to create an image from scratch, you can use the text-to-image generation feature. Alternatively, if you already have an image and wish to modify it, you can utilize editing tools (such as inpainting and outpainting) to apply masks and regenerate only certain parts of the uploaded image. (GIF)

The available parameters include:

  • Negative Prompt: This instructs the GenAI to avoid incorporating specific elements or characteristics during the image generation process.

  • Aspect Ratio: This determines the relationship between the width and height of the image (e.g., 16:9).

  • Image Variations: This specifies how many images to generate.

💡PRO TIP: The default number of image variations is set to 4. While you can adjust this number, we recommend keeping it at this value to ensure a good selection of images to choose from.

  • Refine Contours with Product-Style Editing: By enabling this option, you can retain the details of the product or subject during generation. This feature allows the AI to automatically identify the product or subject in the foreground and regenerate the background accordingly.

  • Prompt Guidance: This controls how closely the generative model should adhere to the instructions given in the prompt.

Context Variables

By selecting “Context Variables” from the Gen AI Image window, you can activate and choose from a range of context variables that will affect the content of the generated image. The available variables include:

  • Day Time: This sets the lighting and ambiance (e.g., bright morning, sunset).

  • Weather Conditions: This affects the environmental setting (e.g., sunny, rainy, foggy).

  • Week Day: This can provide a social or work context based on the specific day of the week.

  • Age: This indicates the age of the subjects depicted in the image.

  • Gender: This specifies the gender of the subjects in the image.

- Interests: This customizes the image based on particular interests or hobbies (e.g., sports, nature).

The Context Variables enable the generation of more personalized and contextually relevant images, creating a diverse array of content that can be managed during distribution by the Machine Learning Model applied in the Automate section.

After configuring the parameters, simply click the 'Generate images' button to initiate the image generation process. The images will be previewed, and you will need to individually approve each one by clicking 'Accept' before they are added to the canvas.

Once approved, the images will appear on the canvas, where you can view and navigate through them using the provided navigation arrows.

History, View Mode, and Edit Mode

  • The “History” section records all versions and changes made during the generation process, allowing you to review and restore previous versions.

  • The “Edit Mode” area enables you to modify the generated image by adjusting parameters, adding details, or changing elements based on the original prompt or new inputs.

Here’s a brief description of each icon in order:

  1. Reset: Restores the image to its original state, undoing all modifications.

  2. Undo: Reverts the last action or change made.

  3. Redo: Restores the last undone action (re-does the previously undone action).

  4. Pan: Allows you to move the image around.

  5. Outpaint: Expands the image size beyond its current edges, defining the area where additional content will be generated.

  6. Extract Background: Removes the background, isolating the main subject of the image.

  7. Invert: Reverses the selection.

  8. Brush: Enables you to select specific areas of the image for AI interaction.

  9. Eraser: Deletes parts of the selected area.

The “View Mode” section allows you to see the generated image.

By hovering over the image, you can access several options by clicking the three dots in the upper right corner (refer to the image below):

Here’s a brief overview of the available options:

  1. Generate Variations: Produces new versions of the current image based on the same prompt, introducing changes in appearance or details.

  1. Edit Prompt: Enables you to modify the original prompt used to generate the image, allowing for adjustments or refinements to the output.

  1. Reuse in New Widget: Allows you to use one of the generated images in a new widget, enabling inpainting and outpainting based on that specific image, but within a new editor dedicated to that asset.

  1. Download Image: Saves the generated image to your device in .jpg format.

GenAI Text Properties

By clicking on a portion of text and then selecting the “Edit with GenAI” button, you can generate or modify text content using generative artificial intelligence.

In the editor, you can enter a prompt to guide the generation and specify the desired length of the text. The generated texts can be modified, deleted, copied, or regenerated as needed .

Once generated, the texts are placed on the canvas, where you can view and navigate through them using the navigation arrows. Additionally, in the upper right corner of the text widget properties, you can translate the generated content into major languages using the GenAI tab on the right. This feature utilizes large language models (LLMs) to create transcriptions and adaptations of the message in different languages.
